This group is designed as a follow on from the skills and support group. In this group members will help each other to develop, optimize and establish new routines to help them reach their goals through a workshop format. We will utilize the power of the group to help create accountability as well as decrease the shame and stigma that can come with ADHD.

This group will focus on providing concrete direction, support, solutions and accountability to help develop the skills needed to address areas which are often difficult for those with ADHD, such as:

  • Organization
  • Self-Compassion
  • Time Management
  • Planning
  • Task Completion
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Self-care such as nutrition, sleep and exercise

The first part of each group session will be used to go over the “assignment” and skills addressed in the previous week, then a new skill will be presented, and discussion will be led about that week’s topic. This will allow group members time to explore their own struggles as well any successes they have had with the topic and provide a space to learn from each other. Brief mindfulness exercises will open and close each group to help build insight into the power of that valuable practice as well as to provide centering and intention to each group.
